Public Information

The Center aims to promote community public interest and awareness at the international, national and local levels as well as in the scientific community. The principal and associated scientists reach the scientific community by publication in multidisciplinary journals such as Nature, Science, and the Origins of Life and Evolution of the Biosphere.

WAMC's Show Segments

The Center sponsors segments which are heard nationally. These segments are produced by WAMC, a public radio station in Albany. The segments may be heard on WAMC programs such as The Best of Our Knowledge, The Environment Show, 51% and The Health Show. They will focus on the results of research on the origins of life and are expected to reach at least 250,000 listeners weekly. These segments will seek not only to inform the public of the latest developments and key issues but also to convey the excitement surrounding the pursuit of answers to fundamental questions.
